AI for Good was founded in 2017 by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the UN's primary agency for digital technologies. Co-convened with the Government of Switzerland and supported by over 40 UN agencies, the initiative's core mission is to harness the transformative power of artificial intelligence (AI) to accelerate progress towards the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
