Need insight on Scotland’s future workforce? Look no further…

Skills Development Scotland (SDS) has recently published the Regional Skills Assessments (RSAs) and Sectoral Skills Assessments (SSAs) for 2023. These high-level assessments provide analysis of the key strategic drivers, economic trends, current and future demand, and job postings across various regions and sectors in Scotland.

Regional Skills Assessments are available for 23 areas, including City Regions and Growth Deal Regions. Sectoral Skills Assessments are available for 14 of Scotland’s key sectors, including Digital Technologies.

The aim of these assessments is to assist employers, partners, and stakeholders with skills planning by providing them with valuable insights into the labour market and skills needs. The reports offer a wealth of information that can be used to help develop the workforce and inform decision-making processes.

In addition to the publication of these reports, SDS has also organised a series of regional and sectoral webinars starting in November and continuing until the end of January. These webinars aim to share the latest insights on the labour market and skills needs of various regions and sectors and foster discussions about the challenges and opportunities in these areas. Each one-hour webinar will consist of a presentation of the latest findings followed by a question and answer session with attendees. These webinars provide an excellent opportunity for employers, partners, and stakeholders to engage with the SDS team and learn more about the latest trends and developments in the Scottish labour market.
