From June 2021 to March 2024, the Leadership Group provided the non-executive function to the Alliance. It provided guidance and prioritisation to the Scottish AI Alliance team.

Sam is the COO and Head of Data at Effini, an innovative data solutions company solving business problem using data and AI.
Richard is Chief Data Officer at Ofcom, the UK communications regulator. He is a member of the Technology, Data and Innovation Group, and is responsible for enabling data and analytics capabilities across Ofcom.
Rachel is a business leader and data and marketing specialist. As Managing Director of the Data & Marketing Association (DMA) she works closely with many of the UK’s most forward thinking agencies, brands and tech companies to promote a truly customer-centric approach to data.
Michael Rovatsos is Professor of Artificial Intelligence and Deputy Vice Principal of Research at the University of Edinburgh, where he also heads up the Bayes Centre, the University’s data science and AI innovation hub.
Michael Boniface is Chief Operating Officer at Kythera.AI, a Scottish based Technology company delivering AI products and services into the computer games, creative and simulation industries.

Dr Christopher Austin is a physician executive and UK trained radiologist with over 20 years of clinical and industry experience in digital health, analytics, and AI.
Dilraj is the Director of Equate Scotland, which is a national policy, research and development organisation focussing on women’s underrepresentation within the science, engineering, technology, and the built environment industries.
Catriona joined EY UK & Ireland to lead Client technology & Innovation from her previous role running our wavespace innovation centres across EMEIA, as well as working with HSBC, Nokia, Unilever, and BP.
Callum is Head of Technology and Commercial at leading law firm Burness Paull. He has worked in the field of information and communications technology law for over 20 years and has a life-long passion for technology.
Anne Widdop has 35+ years of experience as a technologist with significant project and commercial, infrastructure and service management experience across multiple industries, including as a Global Director at IBM and HP.
